Kim grew up in
Davis, Oklahoma. Excelling in school,
it was no surprise when she chose
teaching as her major. During her
undergraduate years she was employed
at Lifestyle Center of America,
a preventive care provider, in Sulphur,
OK in the Windcrest Restaurant and
reception area. She graduated from
East Central University in Ada,
Oklahoma with a B.S. in Elementary
Education in May of 2002. She taught
3rd grade at the 21st Century Learning
Center Summer Camp and 5th grade
at Lee Elementary in Pauls Valley,
Oklahoma. In 2003, she helped organize
and coordinate Wellspring Healthy
Living Programs for Lifestyle Center
of America as their Wellspring Program
Coordinator.
Traveling several
times to Pagosa Springs - the rubber
band effect took hold and in August
2004 Kim decided to move to Pagosa
Springs.
She is actively
involved with Upper San Juan Search
and Rescue and Mountain View Homemakers.
She enjoys the outdoors - hiking,
camping, kayaking, snowshoeing,
etc. with her friends and family
and is an avid reader. She considers
herself an animal lover and a savvy
computer geek with an inquisitive
spirit. She is also a Nationally
Certified Basic EMT.
She hopes to
lend her organizational and creative
talents to the Archuleta County
Extension Office as their Administrative
Assistant. She has a weekly newspaper
column, What's Cookin? in
the Pagosa Springs SUN and
oversees website design for the
office.
